Christopher Moran said he was delighted to receive the award “which reflects on the work of all the organisations I am committed to.”
Mr. Christopher Moran, was recognized for his wide range of charitable work and the positive impact it has on life in the capital.
In the evening’s most distinguished category, Mr. Moran’s contribution to the arts, health and well-being, international relations and national heritage was judged as an Outstanding Contribution to London.

Judges also referred to Moran’s enthusiasm as Chairman of the London Symphony Orchestra Finance Board, securing the long-term future of one of the capital’s cultural institutions.
His work as Chair of Cooperation Ireland – the peace building charity – working under the joint patronage of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and President of Ireland Mary McAleese was seen as helping set the context for a new era in Anglo-Irish relations, and allowing London Irish and Irish living in the capital the confidence to take their place amongst a city that they helped shape over the last century and a half.
Speaking after the awards ceremony Christopher Moran said, “I am delighted to receive the Outstanding Contribution to London, not from a personal perspective, but pleased that it reflects on the work of those organisations I am deeply committed to.
“Each in their own way makes a significant contribution to life in London and I accept tonight’s award on their behalf.”
