On 30th October 2024, Dr. Christopher Moran, President of Co-operation Ireland hosted a Reception & Dinner for the White House Historical Association at Crosby Moran Hall to celebrate international relations and to honour Mr. Frederick J. Ryan, Jr., Chairman of the White House Endowment and Acquisition Trust. The White House Historical Association is responsible for the protection and preservation of the White House and its history.
Principal guests included His Excellency Mr. Martin Fraser, Irish Ambassador to the Court of St. James’s; Mr. Matthew Palmer, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy London; The Rt. Hon. the Lord Young of Old Windsor, GCB, GCVO, Permanent Lord in Waiting to The King; Ambassador Lindsay Croisdale-Appleby, CMG, Head of the UK Mission to the European Union; Mr. Frederick J. Ryan, Jr., Chairman of the White House Endowment and Acquisition Trust; Mr. Stewart D. During the evening, guests toured the ongoing restoration and rebuilding project at Crosby Moran Hall together with its collections of Tudor, Elizabethan & Early Stuart furniture, pictures, metals, arms and armour, etc. Guests also received a copy of Mr. Ryan’s recent book, Wine and the White House: A History.
